CORSIA: The Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation

CORSIA is due to enter its pilot phase in 2021.

As part of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) strategy for reducing emissions, CORSIA obliges airlines to purchase carbon credits to retain carbon neutral growth from 2020.

In early 2020, the final decisions were made on eligible credits and the scheme now nears take-off.
